PhilPop Bootcamp Preps for Biggest Songwriting Contest in 2020

Mentored by some of the country’s most iconic songwriters and sought after young artists, 26 promising singer-songwriters were able to enhance their musical potential at the latest staging of the PhilPop Bootcamp 2019 that took place from September 24 to 27 at Purok Marcela and Oldwood beach resorts in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

PhilPop Executive Director Dinah Remolacio said that the PhilPop Bootcamp was borne out of the need to give more regional songwriters an opportunity to be part of the country’s premier songwriting competition.

Welcome back to Zombieland! Columbia Pictures has just released a “catch up” video to get you up to speed for what’s to come in the highly awaited sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap.

From the director of Venom and the writers of Deadpool, comes Zombieland: Double Tap, the sequel the 2009 cult classic. The film reunites the original cast, led by Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin and Emma Stone.

Max’s Philippines’ “Every Kind of Family, Everyday to the Max” took home the greatest distinction of the night as it was named as “Ad of the Year”. The video also won top category or Crystal award for Food and Beverage, as well as two Silver awards for Retail and Restaurants, and Corporate Image and Public Sector. 

GCash Is The Leading Mobile Wallet Platform For Filipinos


There is no denying that mobile wallets is now the future of finance for many people including Filipinos who are now embracing the new culture of cashless payments for their daily transactions. And in the country there are now 6.4 Million people who are now using them mainly in the form of a mobile app like GCash.

With a recent numbers, GCash leads with 4.9 Million users that uses the app in various purposes aside from having a digital wallet in their hands. The convenience transfering funs, mobile loading, paying bills, and with GCash, the option to save, invest, and even plant tree via GCash Forest is now a working option.


Also interesting is that total money transfers are made by 49 Million people and 9.3  or around 20% are made with cashless transactions. World Vision, in partnership with DepEd, strives to address the literacy gap in the Philippines with “Brigada Pagbasa” project

In celebration of the National Literacy Month this September and in preparation for November’s National Reading Month, World Vision Development Foundation in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) launches Brigada Pagbasa, a movement that seeks to enhance the reading skills of the Filipino children.

The project, an extension of the Brigada Eskwela campaign that promotes community participation in time for school opening, will bring together experts, change makers, policy-makers, and other stakeholders across all sectors from international and local agencies, as well as public and private organizations to spread reading literacy among Filipino children.

"Abominable" Opens at No.1 in the U.S., Arrives in PH Oct 2

Abominable opened at No.1 the US box office this weekend (Sept. 27 - 29) as DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studio’s fantasy adventure debuted to $20.85 million in North America, marking the best opening of the year for an original animated film.

Abominable takes audiences on an epic 2,000-mile adventure from the streets of Shanghai to the breathtaking Himalayan snowscapes.
