Camille Prats not yet entertaining suitors but not closing her doors

Eight months after the untimely death of her husband Anthony Lansingan, Camille Prats is now trying to recover from her husband’s demise.  Her husband died in September 2011 after suffering from nasopharyngeal cancer, a type of throat cancer affecting the upper section of the throat.

“Masasabi ko po na I’m getting better now.  Kasi mas natatanggap ko na na wala na talaga siya, na hindi na siya babalik. Kasi nung mga first few months talagang ang iniisip ko baka naman bumalik pa. May ganun e.  Parang in denial pa ako. Ngayon natatanggap ko na na hindi na talaga siya  babalik.  But there are days na ‘pag naiisip ko siya ang sakit talaga,” she shared in an interview during the press launch of GMA-7’s newest primetime series Luna Blanca.

Camille recalled those gloomy moments when she remembers her late husband. 

“There was also one time I was at a party with my friends. Tapos mejo gimik ‘yon.  Pagdating ko dun sumasayaw pa ako, tapos bigla akong nag-breakdown.  Naiintindihan din naman ng mga friends ko e. Kasi these are the things that I don’t do without my husband, and now I’m doing these by myself.” 

Although Camille is not entertaining suitors at the moment, she is not shutting her doors to the possibility of getting married again. 

“Hindi natin masasabi.  Ang dasal ko lang naman, kung sakali mang may dumating man na ganun, sana naman iparamdam sa akin ng asawa ko na ‘Go, mahal. Bongga na ‘yan for you.  Grab the opportunity,’ diba? Gusto ko lang ng may approval niya,” said Camille.

“Kung sino man ‘yung tao na ‘yon kailangan niya na tanggapin ‘yun e na ganito kasi talaga ‘yung pinagdaanan ko so if there will be times na maaalala ko siya or sad ako tungkol sa kanya, sana hindi ‘yon ikakasama ng loob niya na naiisip ko pa rin siya,” she added.

Her new primetime series 

Camille currently stars as Rowena in GMA’s new primetime series “Luna Blanca,” which is a sequel to the 2008 fantasy-drama series “Luna Mystika.” 

In Luna Blanca, Camille will portray a slightly antagonistic role, which is far from her role as a loving mother in Munting Heredera. 

“Doon po kasi sa Munting Heredera parang wala namang masamang buto sa katawan ni Sandra. Napakabait niya kasing tao, napaka-good-natured, walang hiniling na masama towards anybody kahit na masama na ‘yong ginagawa sa kanya.  Dito kasi sa role ni Rowena, she was a good-natured woman pero nung dumating ‘yong puntong nagkaroon siya ng encounter with the engkanto at naanakan pa siya nito, siyempre nagkaroon siya ng galit, at hindi nawala sa kanya ‘yung galit na ‘yon.” 

Luna Blanca premiers tonight, May 21, 2012 after 24 Oras, replacing “Biritera” on GMA-7.
