Swedish Boyband JTR and Their Philippine Promo Tour

JTR is a Swedish boy band made up of three brothers - John Andreasson (aged 25), Tom Lundbäck (aged 22) and Robin Lundbäck (aged 21). The band’s name is made up of the first letters of their given names John, Tom and Robin. The brothers’ stepdad and mentor, Hayden Bell, is a renowned Sony Music for the Asian region, and was also instrumental to the success of “You Ruin Me” hitmaker duo, The Veronicas.

Even with the mentoring of a music label biggie, JTR made it quite huge all on their own. Flying from Sweden to Australia, the trio auditioned in the 5th season of The X Factor Australia in 2013, impressing the judges and the audience with their cover of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me”, adding rap lines in between. Finishing seventh in the competition, JTR started working on original material for their very own record.

It was not long until the band released their debut album “Touchdown” in Australia. Spearheaded by the smash lead single “Ride”, the album charted well on Australian album charts, more specifically in the independent category. With its success, JTR toured back in Sweden and re-released the album, now under Sony Music, and also proved to be a steady success in the territory. Shortly thereafter, JTR also entered Melodifestivalen 2015, a Swedish song-writing competition where the brothers blazed with their composition entitled “Building It Up”, also charting there as a single. Now being compared as a contemporary to huge boybands likes Union J, Before You Exit, and even The Vamps, JTR is currently being foreseen as one of the most promising groups to make it big in the coming year. In fact, just recently, JTR released their new single “Oh My My”, serving as the first light of what could be an amazing new era ahead for the band.

They’ve recently finished a repackaged edition of their debut album to be released exclusively in Asia including the Philippines, renamed as “Touchdown (Asian Edition)”. It includes seven bonus tracks not previously available, such as their current single “Oh My My” and their upcoming single “Centre Of Everywhere”. To support the album, the band is currently touring the region, and hitting the Philippines next week - meeting press and media and of course their growing local fan base.

* December 13, 2015 (Sunday) | 4 PM: SM Seaside City Cebu

JTR will be performing songs from their album “Touchdown (Asian Edition)” plus a few more surprise songs. CDs will be sold at the venue, with CD signing session to follow after each show.
