A New Style Of Viewing Love Stories With "One Hugot Away"

Pinoys are still into the charm and pain brought by stories of hugot, known to speak from the heart and tells stories of inner feelings expressed more proudly as portrayed in films and television. This gave an idea for the Kapuso network to try a new style of storytelling with the mix of the emotion driven energy of these stories.

This paved way for the creation of ONE HUGOT AWAY which is a short television series that will also appears online giving viewers a lot of options to know the stories that will be featured in as show that is divided into short sections and will be aired in several parts of the day. This series will also have an online counterpart that gives access to people who might have missed the television airing.

For the first story to be featured for the anthology starting March 25, the story called "Walang Label" will air starring Kapuso actors Shaira Diaz and David Licauco as Ella and Ben respectively. Both have worked with each other and this groundbreaking series/short film feels experimental yet will get viewers hooked on how the story will go.

The relationship of Ella and Ben seems confusing as they have gotten really close spending time together for the past six months. Ella admits they "enjoy" each other's company. But it boggles her that While Ben shows they are more than friends, he is not consistent with his actions. What will happen once she confronts Ben about the label of their relationship if there is one?

Parts of short film will appear on TV during commercial gaps of shows like Kapuso Movie Festival, Wowowin, and My Golden Life. The Online version of the two-part story will be available at 7 PM . The conclusion of "Walang Label" will be until March 28 during the timeslot of My Golden Life to know what will be the ending of Ella and Ben's story. The finale will be available online on March 29 at 12 noon.

The first "One Hugot Away" short film is written by James Estrada and directed by Zig Dulay. The Clash alumna Muriel Lomadilla sang the theme song entitled "Bakit 'Di Na Lang Tayo" which was composed by Roxanne Fabian and mixed by Andrea Culla under GMA Post Music Production. Go ahead, indulge in your deepest hugot moments. Catch "One Hugot Away" beginning March 25 on GMA Network's Facebook (www.facebook.com/GMANetwork) and YouTube (www.youtube.com/GMANetwork) accounts and on GMA 7.
