The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part - Is Everrything Still Awesome?

The second part of the Lego Movie is now here yet there has been some reservations on how it pared with the first one which got high reviews. But looking at all the lego movies that we had in the past few years, we enjoyed the movies as it was both fun for kids as well as adults.

The new Lego movie brings together the main master builder gang of Unikitty, Lego Batman, Wyldstyle, Benny, Metalbeard, and Emmet. But they face new enimies from the Duplo universe and the Sistar System. Both aliens in trhe world of Lego, it becomes a cute yet challenging war for them which shook their worlds.

This new chapter brings in new characters like Queen Wathever Wa'Nabi, General Sweet Mayhem, and Rex Dangervest (who is voiced by Chris Pratt as well), and a more expanded universe and also follows the real life lives of their owners. As it also mirrors reality like the first one, it tries to be a little mature as well with a moral that everyone will learn. However it still keeps the child-friendly charm and comedy which makes it fun to watch.

The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part  stars Chris Pratt Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, Charlie Day, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, and Maya Rudolph.  Directed by Mike Mitchell, now showing in cinemas.

Deliberation time kids!

Film summary: Building a new universe with lego bricks

Quotable quote: “Everything is not awesome” - Lucy

Technical Effects: 4 out of 5 stars (The Lego world is already amazing, though it would great to have a more epic with the more screen time for the intricacies of the universe.)

Plot: 3 out of 5 stars (It has the same feel like the first one but somehow it left some characters plot hanging which is somehow anticlimatic.)

Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars (I love the cahracters of Rex Dangervest and Queen Whatever Wa'Nabi)

Pros:  Lego world, world structure
Cons: Real life people, some comedic lines

Music and Soundtracks:  4 out for 5 stars (Music by Mark Mothersbaugh, and now hooked on "The Catchy Song (This Song's Gonna get Stuck Inside Your Head)" )

Overall: Rating 4.0 out of 5 stars (Though I like the first movie more, this still is a must watch as it keeps it high entertainment factor and lego charm. I hope they will build more films)
