Gross Domestic Happiness (GDH) is at it again. After the success of their previous films like Bad Genius, and Brother of the Year, they just launched a new movie last February called Friend Zone (ระวังสิ้นสุดทางเพื่อน) and will be showing in theaters in the Philippines April 10, 2019.
This brought together Thai stars Naphat Siangsomboon as Palm, and Pimchanok Luevisadpaibulas as Gink. Two childhood friends who have been close together but never as a couple. Gink found love with Ted (Jason Young) who partners with her in producing music across the region.
But this left poor Palm being a dependable friend but never as a boyfriend. But despite this, he keeps on supporting Gink in her obsession in making sure Ted is her life partner. The film also takes the audience into a tour of several cities of Southeast Asia and Hong Kong which is also fun to watch and also makes you want to travel more.

Film summary: How much can you endure being in the Friend Zone?
Quotable quote: “There is only one truth" - Gink
Quotable quote: “There is only one truth" - Gink
Technical Effects: 3 out of 5 stars (There are some elements that was fun, and some may need technical effects or stunts which was cool for a Rom Com)
Plot: 3 out of 5 stars (It has that similar vibe and story like Pinoy RomComs, with just the right amount of exaggeration.)
Acting and Actors: 4 out of 5 stars (Chayanop and Naphat have great chemistry, though I think they are too good looking for the average Thai.)
Pros: Great chemsitry, drama scenes, travel scenes, Detective Conan reference
Cons: Rushed ending, more cities could have been featured
Cons: Rushed ending, more cities could have been featured
Music and Soundtracks: 4 out for 5 stars (music plays a huge role in the film and he song "คิดมาก (KID MAK)" comes in different languages including Filipino which is sung by Claudia Barretto)
Overall: Rating 4.0 out of 5 stars (Though not as tear-jerking like Brother of the Year, it was really romantic all the way even with the simple gestures that means a lot to the one who got friend zoned, oh that's me. Aw...)
