The highest honor for the night were given to three individuals for the Camera Obscura Awards. They are director Cathy Garcia-Molina, film historian and lecturer Nick Deocampo, and scriptwriter Ricky Lee.

Cathy Garcia-Molina was recognized for her works that include recent modern classics like A Very Special Love (2008), One More Chance (2007) and its sequel A Second Chance (2015). And her biggest achievement was last year's blockbuster hit Hello, Love, Goodbye which grossed over 880 Million pesos which is the highest grossing Filipino film of all time in which the second place is also her film The Hows of Us in 2018.

Nick De Ocampo is a film historian and scholar, and an advocate in promoting awareness of Philippine cinema as a professor and resource person. He is an Associate Professor for the University of the Philippines Film Institute College of Mass Communication at U.P. Diliman. and has been recognized through multiple National Book Awards as well as the FAMAS Lifetime Achievement award.

Last but definitely not the least is Ricky Lee, who is a master scriptwriter and author. His most notable work include Himala with Nora Aunor. He has worked with the legends of Philippine cinema like Ishmael Bernal, and Marilou Diaz-Abaya. He also have recent works like Culion and Hindi Tayo Pwede with young and budding directors. He held script writing workshops that continue up to today and has also produced top creatives and directors today.

The three of them were present to receive their awards and also got a standing ovation from the crowd. The awards given that night shows the continuing efforts of filmmakers, producers, and the FDCP efforts to expand the influence of Pinoy films in the global stage as the industry also celebrates its 100 years.
