Nonoy Zuñiga Sings The Songs Of The Regions

It is no doubt that Nonoy Zuñiga has greatly contributed to OPM with his songs that are still relevant and sung by many in their performances and even competitions. Yet we wanted to do more for the industry which has been very good to him throughout the years.

Still active with concerts and performing, he has really embraced the entertainment business and keeps fans wanting more. He recently concluded his latest concert "Nonoy: Through The Years" held at Resorts World Manila last March which gave him the idea to come up with songs that are based on regional languages to connect more with its people.

Since he came from Eastern Visayas or collective known as Warays, he will be releasing a new single "Waray Waray" which is the most recognizable song in the region and has spin-offed  into many versions.

This version is produced by seasoned record producer Paulo Zarate. Going for a rock pop type tune, it kept its novelty charm yet it feels strong and still has the Nonoy Zuñiga vibe with it. This is actually the second song he will release in line with the regional singles he envisioned and soon to be compiled into an album.

He previously released a Cebuano song entitled "Pero Atik Ra," which he collaborated  with the very talented Cebuana singer, Jollliane Salvado. It is now available on streaming and has its own music video which can be seen in YouTube.

Nonoy shares that he is no rush to release another regional song yet he continues to search for collaboration with artists from the regions that he will work with for the next one. Until then, he will focus on his regular gigs and projects both locally and abroad.

Waray Waray will be out in digital formats soon.
