Join “IslaFest” for a one-of-a-kind Filipino-Japanese fusion event

The three-day fusion festival happening on June 14-16 at Ueno Park in Tokyo showcases the best of the Filipino and Japanese culture and talent

This June, get to enjoy the best of two cultures as the Philippine Expo Organizing Committee and TFC bring the first-ever Filipino-Japanese fusion festival, the “IslaFest”, happening on June 14 to 16 at the Ueno Park, in Tokyo, Japan.

The three-day event will feature the best of both the Filipino and Japanese culture, from colorful celebrations to appetizing food, down to outstanding performances from Filipino and Japanese artists.

“We are excited with the very first Islafest event in Japan, a 3-day Filipino-Japanese fusion event that puts the spotlight on the rich culture and talent of both Filipinos and Japanese. This celebration aims to have a greater appreciation and knowledge about our two countries,” said ABS-CBN Global Country Manager for North Asia Eric Martin Santos.


There will be a variety of activities and artists that will be performing each day which everyone should not miss.

For June 14, get to hear a new genre of music and show-stopping dance numbers from the lineup of artists: from the Philippines are Tarsier Records artists Inigo, Kiana, Moophs, and Xela; while from Japan are Around Forty Super Idol, YACO, Myrah Kay, Kamen Joshi, Miku Goto & Leon Grace Goto, Shizuka Igarashi, Yuka Ozeki, Ai Ogawa, Kazuki Mizuno & Eri Yoshikawa (the A.M. Dancers), John Michibata, and Jhun Himeno & Hoshino Satoru.

It is a test of vocal power for June 15 as the overseas Filipinos sing their hearts out to be named as “MOR Pinoy Pop Icon” regional champion, with a performance from Angeline Quinto and hosted by the DJs from MOR Philippines, DJ Jhai Ho, and DJ Kisses. The battle of vocal prowess will be followed by performances from Japanese artists Beverly, TJ Hirotoshi Maeda, Queen Rocks, 7BRIDGE, GALIANO, and Aisaku while giving everyone a good belly laugh is the tandem of Akiya Wada and Ookubo Ken known as Paru-Paro.

On the third day of the event, June 16, a variety of performances will be witnessed from singing, dancing, to comedic stint from the Filipino artists Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber and Jericho Rosales from the Philippines; and Japanese artists FEAM, HPN3, Asuca Taguchi, and Michael David Bodin.

Gather your family and friends and experience the best of two cultures at the “IslaFest” on June 14 to 16 at the Ueno Park, in Tokyo, Japan. The festival is open to the public, but you can enjoy the front-row seat experience by availing the VIP ticket which costs ¥6,000, which is sold per day.
