Today, OPM icon Gary Valenciano shares a brand new accompanying music video for his latest heart-on-sleeve and empowering single, “Pwede Pang Mangarap.” The recently released track is a collaborative effort between Gary’s team and his home label for over 30 years, Universal Records, and is a motivational anthem inspired to empower MSMEs to overcome the dream-crushing effects of the pandemic, as well as to revive our economy and our lives.

The #GaryVPwedePangMangarap music video also celebrates an awe-inspiring father-son tandem in spirit of Father’s Day this year, since it’s a lovely effort from Mr. Pure energy himself and his son Gabriel Valenciano, who directed the brilliant three-minute visual under Manila Genesis Entertainment and Management. Gary Valenciano has unveiled a brand new song “Pwede Pang Mangarap”, released under Universal Records. It’s the type of buoyant, morale-boosting track that transports listeners to a much-needed ray of hope as we dare to rise above the seemingly dream-crushing effects of the pandemic.

A music video starring multi-awarded singer-songwriter, dancer, musician, actor, music producer, and TV host Gary Valenciano premiered on July 10 for a campaign to support micro, small, and mid-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The MTV is a public service announcement; part of the multi-sectoral project called BUYANIHAN that was organized by the Association of the Filipino Franchisers Inc. (AFFI), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Go Negosyo, SM Super Malls, Globe My Business, PLDT KaAsenso, Security Bank, Union Bank, Sea Oil, and Farmacia ni Dok, with the  support of  the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA), and the Kapisanan ng Brodkasters ng Pilipinas (KBP).

MSMEs are the backbone of every economy but, sadly, many were put on the brink of insolvency because of the COVID-19 lockdown. And with the country’s fiscal heartbeat largely driven by consumption, community support for these enterprises cannot be stressed enough.

Gary V Sings: Just For You turns Gold

The latest album of Gary Valenciano, Gary V Sings: Just For You, has recently been presented with a Gold Record Award for its outstanding sales. The album includes Gary’s renditions of memorable hits like In Your Eyes, It Might Be You, Somewhere Down The Road, What Matters Most, Overjoyed, among others.

The award was given last February 10 during ASAP 18, where he also launched the second single of the album – a modern take on Stephen Bishop’s It Might Be You. Present during the awarding is Universal Records’ General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go.

It should be noted that "Gary V Sings: Just For You" is Gary's 26th full-length studio album with Universal Records.

"Gary V Sings: Just For You" is another creative and original concept by Gary which is six-months in the making. "I was in the car and I told Kiana [my youngest child] to make 'pa-simple' in asking her mom, my wife Angeli, about the songs she once mentioned to me. These songs were just some of her favorites that she had always dreamed I would record," says Gary.

OPM President Ogie Alcasid is undeniably one of the most prolific singer-songwriter of his generation, having written hits like Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw, Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka, Kailangan Kita, Ikaw Lamang, Pangako, among others. Acknowledging this, Universal Records is releasing the most ambitious project of Ogie: The Songwriter & The Hitmakers which gathers the biggest music acts in the country to perform compositions of Ogie.

“I feel so honored to have been given a project as big as this,” says Ogie. “I am in awe of all the talents involved here.”

The Songwriter & The Hitmakers features Ogie's songs recorded by Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Piolo Pascual, Christian Bautista, Sarah Geronimo, Arnel Pineda, Noel Cabangon, Richard Poon, Jed Madela, Kuh Ledesma, Rachelle Ann Go, Kyla, JayR and Jaya.
