“EDDIE THE EAGLE” Trailer Reveal

Eddie never gives up and likes to prove his detractors wrong. Sounds universally familiar?  Just like the unbreakable focus and determination of the recently crowned Ms. Universe 2015, Philippines’ Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach comes an inspiring story based on true events in “Eddie The Eagle” starring Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton.

From the producers of the blockbuster action movie “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” the feel-good story of “Eddie The Eagle” is about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Egerton), a courageous yet unlikely British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as his family and the entire nation initially counted him out.  Persistently trying to perfect his skill with the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach, portrayed by Hugh Jackman, Eddie eventually wins the hearts of sports fans round the globe when he performed a historic feat at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.  A loveable underdog with a never-say-die attitude will rise in “Eddie The Eagle” when it opens in cinemas this April 2016.

Up And Coming Talented Young Actor Josh Green Stars As Mischievous Brother-To-Be-In “ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS 4: THE ROAD CHIP”

The Chipmunks we know and love, Alvin, Theodore and Simon embark on a journey across the U.S. and for the first time, they’re on a mission to keep their family together in the fourth installment of the hugely successful family adventure franchise in “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.”

In their latest adventure, through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them.  They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother, Miles, played by Josh Green.

The idea of Dave tying the knot doesn’t thrill the boys; in fact, they fear it’ll uproot their lives – and maybe uproot them from Dave’s home!  Further complicating matters is Sam’s (Dave’s special friend played by Kimberly Willams-Paisley) teenage son, Miles (Green), who has an instant dislike of the Chipmunks.

Young Adult Novel "The 5th Wave" Takes Battle to the Big Screen‏

A powerhouse cast led by Chloë Grace Moretz (“If I Stay”), Nick Robinson (Jurassic World”), Ron Livingston (“The Conjuring”), Alex Roe (upcoming “Rings”), and Liev Schreiber (“Salt”) stars in Columbia Pictures’ adaptation of Rick Yancey’s bestselling novel “The 5th Wave,” the first book in his planned trilogy.

In the film, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.

Yancey’s book was published in 2013 to critical and popular acclaim, with over 20 weeks on the New York Times Bestsellers list. The second book in the trilogy, The Infinite Sea, met with similar acclaim and success, with the third book, The Last Star, set for release next year.

Latino Actor Guns for People's Votes in "Our Brand is Crisis"‏

In Warner Bros. Pictures' “Our Brand is Crisis,” front and center of the election chaos stands presidential candidate and veteran politico Castillo, who sees his consultants (led by Sandra Bullock's Jane Bodine) as a necessary evil, and whose mix of charm, pride and privilege is deftly captured by Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida (“Fast Five”).

The actor nearly didn’t make the “Our Brand is Crisis” shoot because of an ill-timed gym injury shortly before production, but instead opted to use the situation to his advantage. “Castillo is not an easy guy, not a smiling, happy guy. He has issues. He’s impatient. So I used my own discomfort for the character,” he says.

Misa De Gallo Diaries Day 9: St. Peter and Paul Parish Makati

For the final night of the Misa De Gallo Diaries, I went to a new direction with a new church that I have not celebrated Simbang Gabi with. Since all of the churches nearby are already in the list. Choosing the church/chapel would mean going beyond my comfort zone. And it was just beyond the river-bend literally. The "hidden" parish of St. Peter and Paul is almost 400 years old and is just two rides from home and it has only been once that I attended mass there.

The church is a perfect fusion of the old and the new, with the facade of stone reminding us of the past, and the interior with LED TVs for prompts and videos embraces the future beautifully without overpowering each other.

Horror-Thriller "The Forest" Unveils First Trailer‏

The first trailer of Columbia Pictures' upcoming suspense thriller “The Forest,” has been unveiled and may be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OHEo8erU1M.

The trailer for director Jason Zada’s horror film finds Natalie Dormer straying from the path through Japan’s Aokigahara Forest in search of her missing twin sister.

Rising with terrifying grandeur at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan, the legendary real-life Aokigahara Forest is the suspense-filled setting of the supernatural thriller “The Forest.” A young American woman, Sara (Natalie Dormer of “Game of Thrones” and “The Hunger Games”), journeys there in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. In the company of expatriate Aiden (Taylor Kinney of “Chicago Fire”), Sara enters the forest having been well warned to “stay on the path.” Determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate, Sara will have to face the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who dares come near them. These malevolent spirits lying in wait for Sara at every turn will plunge her into a frightening darkness from which she must fight to save herself.

Misa De Gallo Diaries Day 8: Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord

For the eight day of the Simbang Gabi Series, I finally went with SM Megamall's Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord which has been a part of the Misa De Gallo Diaries from the first year. And with a diverse mass celebrators each year, there is indeed something new to be experienced with the mass here.

However I came in late for the mass despite an earlier effort but it was not due to the traffic, it was the cash register. I made my last minute shopping at the next door mall with the gift certificate I got this year. Since that would the few places I can redeem them, I made my shopping there. It took me an hour since the selections were quite expensive, and when I was at the counter, the gcs need to be verified first before finishing the transaction which cost me minutes behind the start of the mass. I quickly went to megamall after that, and along the way thinking why I have sacrificed precious time for shopping. But I was glad that I can still make ot for the celebration.
