Let Support our Philippine Team to the 2011 SEA Games!

Before we compete to the 2012 London Olympics, our athletes are preparing for the regional Olympic games known as the South East Asian Games of SEA Games. Though we are making noise around the world in some sports, let us not forget that many of our athletes in different disciplines are struggling to undergo training and also buy equipment or use facilities. Last 2005, when the  SEA Games was held here, it was our support that landed us in the first place overall for the first time in the history of the games. 

This year it will be hosted by two cities of Indonesia, Jakarta and Palembang. Indonesia had always dominated the games with powerhouse athletes and always on the top 3 in every game. Our country however ranked either in 5th or 6th place. Though the games are for the ASEAN region, we should remember that there are a lot of competitive countries that fair good in other international games like the Asian Games and even the Olympics.

Being the social media capital of the world, I think one way of helping (and giving support) to our athletes is to cheer and support them in any way that we can. By this post I hope many will do too, it will boost their morale that even in a foreign land, our prayers and support is always there for them, even at this regional stage. Hopefully, if we did well we can also then move it to the other level to the Asian Games and Olympics.

The 2011 SEA Games will take place on November 10- 22, 2011. With almost 6000 athletes participating in 545 events in 56 sports.  Lets hope that we can make a better record than the past. Let's prove that our athletes are indeed world class!
